American, 2000. Illuminated document granting arms to be used within the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc., from the "Prince and Princess of Northshield." Illumination consists primarily of the Northshield populace badge (as "Penelope" does not have specific, registered arms) and a gilt initial. The calligraphy is based on M. Drogin's "G. litera bastarda" (see Medieval Calligraphy) and the wording is based specifically on period formulary.
In private collection. Copyright 2000, Elise C. Boucher.
